Dr Stephanie DuguezÂ
Dr Duguez is a Senior Lecturer in Personalized Medicine at Ulster University where she leads the research group in neuromuscular health. She has a long career in neuromuscular disorders, developed across institutes in France, the US, and UK (LPEH Saint Etienne, Genethon, CNMC Washington DC, Institute of myology). Her group (www.duguezlab.org) is composed of biologists and bioinformaticians aiming to develop a better understanding of, and novel treatments for, neuromuscular and neurodegenerative diseases.
Dr Duguez is convinced that solidarity is a key point to fight rare diseases, and that the work done by NIRDP is crucial to improving patient care in Northern Ireland.
